"Opera" Box purse in the shape of a proscenium stage, with "Cenerentola" written in the center, framed by red and blue curtains with a wood stage underneath. Light blue theater-like structure surrounding, decorated with gilt and pink roses. Wood and plastic, with gold leather top handle and gold tone metal hardware. Leather-lined with dual interior pockets, including a compact mirror. Turn lock closure at front, which when opened reveals a clock nearing midnight. Protective feet at base. Slight scuffs to gilt and light restoration to front bottom of the "stage," else very good. Part of the Dolce & Gabbana 2016/2017 Fairy Tale collection, worn on the runway with the off-white Cinderella mouse dress (also in my collection).

Off-white crepe dress with exposed black stitching and rhinestone mice carrying sewing tools like buttons, needles and thread, as though they are working on the dress. Small ruffles at shoulder, snap closures down the back. Just below knee-length, size IT 44. Part of the Dolce & Gabbana 2016/2017 collection, worn on the runway with the Cenerentola opera box purse.

Black silk with a Rackham-esque white line drawing-style printed image of an enormous tree and young girls walking up to it. The Fall 2008 collection was one of McQueen’s strongest, inspired by a magical tree in his garden. “I’ve got a 600-year-old elm tree in my garden,” he said, “and I made up this story of a girl who lives in it and comes out of the darkness to meet a prince and become a queen.” Rare, collectible piece. It was among 70 Alexander McQueen looks included in the “Mind, Mythos, Muse” exhibition at LACMA.
